The MM01 AoIP contribution/distribution solution from German firm 2wcom is a new compact multi-role solution for audio over IP contribution and distribution.
Targeted primarily at studio-transmitter link applications, MM01 is designed for versatility, explains the firm, providing advanced redundancy capability and monitoring functions, with the ability to integrate into diverse infrastructures.
The MM01’s audio synchronization, which 2wcom claims, is delivered to microsecond accuracy, also makes it suitable for applications where precise timing is essential, such as SFN FM networks.
The solution offers support for audio codecs including AAC and E-aptX. It also supports dual streaming and Pro MPEG FEC — standardized mechanisms for overcoming IP limitations when they occur.
In addition, the MM01 is designed to fit several possible scenarios, says 2wcom, from low latency linear PCM transmission over fiber networks to highly secured transmission over economical DSL lines.
