Ibiquity Creates 'HD Radio Playbook' Promo Tool

About a year ago, Ibiquity Digital distributed to stations a book intended to help them market HD Radio. Now the book has been replaced with an interactive Web site.
Ibiquity is set to introduce the “HD Radio Playbook,” which it says it designed with a management programming consultant, David Martin of Media Arts & Sciences. Programmers provided input to Ibiquity about the site.
The Web site is up and users can get passwords starting Monday (July 25). Stations promoting HD Radio will have free access, Ibiquity spokeswoman Vicki Stearn said.
Various parts of the site target the needs of different radio jobs, such as GM or PD. The idea is that employees can share ideas and HD Radio promotion experiences. For example, “We’re asking people to upload sample HD Radio liners and tags,” said Stearn.
As an incentive to use the tool, Ibiquity is sponsoring an HD Radio promo contest with cash prizes; the winners will be announced at the fall NAB Radio Show.
