IHeart Names President of Digital Revenue Strategy

Also names Hispanic Brand Management team, new general sales manager

Carter Brokaw will join iHeartMedia as its president of digital revenue strategy. IHeartMedia also has announced its new Hispanic Brand Management team. The team will be led by Ricardo “Gonzo” Otero, as the new Hispanic brand manager and will also include Ray Hernandez and Raymond Torres as brand coordinators. Additionally, iHeartMedia Milwaukee says Randy Engmann has been named general sales manager for the cluster.

In his new role, Brokaw will oversee the company’s digital sales efforts driving digital revenue through new and existing sales channels as well as developing new digital revenue strategies. Additionally, Brokaw will support local digital selling activities and collaborate with iHeartMedia’s marketing, technology, field sales, revenue management and national integrated sales groups.

According to the announcement, he will work closely with Brian Kaminsky, iHeartMedia’s president of programmatic and data operations, to take to market the company’s programmatic, real-time ad buying platform.

Ray Hernandez

Brokaw joins iHeartMedia from Guardian News and Media and will report to Tim Castelli, president of national sales, marketing and partnerships. Brokaw has over 20 years of sales experience. As executive vice president at Guardian News and Media, he was responsible for the company’s U.S. commercial strategy, positioning, pricing, packaging and tiered account focus. Prior to Guardian News and Media, Brokaw served as chief revenue officer at both Slacker Radio and Meebo Inc. and as VP of digital media and sponsorship sales for Warner Music Group. He began his media career at CNET Networks Inc. where he spent 11 years in their sales division including serving as the company’s VP of global accounts.

The team consisting of Otero, Hernandez and Torres will provide iHeartMedia’s Hispanic brands with strategic guidance and product leadership, as well as connect advertisers with iHeartMedia’s Hispanic audience, the announcement said. Otero, Hernandez and Torres will also develop Hispanic-specific contest opportunities as well as be heavily involved in the planning and execution of the second annual “iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina” this fall.

Raymond Torres

Otero will continue as the operations manager for the La Preciosa Network and program director for KFSO(FM)/La Preciosa 92.9 in Fresno. Hernandez will main maintain his role as program director for WMGE(FM) in Miami, and Torres retains responsibilities as PD of WRUM(FM) in Orlando.

Randy Engmann will lead the sales team to create marketing opportunities reaching consumers through assets as part of iHeartMedia Milwaukee, which consists of WMIL(FM), WKKV(FM), WRIT(FM), WISN(AM), WRNW(FM) and WOKY(AM).

Engmann joins iHeartMedia from Nielsen Audio, where he served as senior account manager for nine years. He previously worked as an account executive, general sales manager and regional account manager at Entercom Milwaukee.
