iHeartMedia Names Raleigh SVP of Sales

Also announces UConn EP in Hartford and a new PD for Austin’s KHFI and KASE

iHeartMedia says Mike Morgan has been tapped senior vice president of sales for its Raleigh cluster. Also, the company announced Bob Joyce has been named executive producer of UConn Athletics content for WUCS(FM), and iHeart Austin chose Trevor Morini to serve as PD for KHFI(FM) and KASE(FM/HD2).

As SVP of Sales, Morgan will be responsible for market revenue growth and will lead a team of account executives in business development and account service. He will report to iHeartMedia Raleigh Market President Alan Kirshbom.

Morgan joins iHeartMedia Raleigh after serving as director of new business development and account manager at Sokal Media Group. He also served as general manager for Capital Broadcasting in Raleigh and director of sales and general sales manager at Entercom in Greenville, S.C. He began his career at WROV(FM) in Roanoke, Va.

In Connecticut, as executive producer Joyce will be the radio voice for the University of Connecticut’s women’s basketball and men’s hockey teams. He’ll also do play-by-play and work closely with “The Rob Dibble Show.” He will report to iHeartMedia Connecticut Program Director for Sports and Talk Ben Darnell.

Joyce has served as a sportscaster in the region for nearly three decades. He holds several positions with the UConn IMG Sports Network, serving as pregame, halftime and postgame host for UConn Football since 2005 and as the full-time voice of the school’s women’s basketball team since 2006.

iHeartMedia Hartford owns and operates WWYZ(FM), WKSS(FM), WUCS(FM), WHCN(FM) and WPOP(AM).

Morini will be responsible for the day-to-day programming operations of KHFI and KASE and will report to iHeartMedia Austin/San Antonio Senior Vice President of Programming Brian Gann.

In Texas, Trevor Morini has been with iHeartMedia for three years, most recently serving as program director and afternoon drive host for KTBT(FM) in Tulsa, Okla. He began his career in radio on Cape Cod and has previously worked as assistant program director and on air personality at WWKX(FM) in Providence, R.I.

iHeartMedia Austin owns and operates KASE(FM/HD2), KHFI(FM), KPEZ(FM) and KVET(AM/FM/HD2).
