Infinity Communications Director Mateo Promoted to VP

Infinity Broadcasting promoted Karen L. Mateo to VP of communications. She had served as director of communications since 2003.
Mateo is responsible for internal and external communications for the company, including acting as spokeswoman. She assists Infinity’s 183 local stations with development and implementation of media strategy.
Prior to Infinity, Mateo was director of communications for the company’s TV station in New York, where she oversaw the station’s media and on-air talent relations. Before Infinity, she was a senior press representative for CBS Sports, acting as lead publicist for the network’s coverage of college basketball.
