Infinity Sales Director Named VP/GM of WCBS(FM)

Chad Brown was named vice president and general manager of WCBS(FM) in New York, effective Feb. 23. He had been general sales manager for sister station WCBS Newsradio 880. Brown also held the position of director of sales for the six Infinity Broadcasting stations in New York since 2003, and will continue to do so.
Prior to working for WCBS(AM), Brown was the vice president and general manager at Interep, overseeing a division of Infinity radio sales. He joined CBS Radio Representatives in 1988 as an account executive in Atlanta.
In a related announcement, Matt Timothy, vice president of marketing and development for CBS 2 in New York since 2003, will succeed Brown as general sales manager for WCBS(AM).
Timothy returned to New York as director of sales for CBS New Media in 1997, after a stint in San Francisco as research director for KPIX(TV), and later as account executive for the station. Following a brief period as vice president of sales for Tech TV, he returned to CBS in 1999 as vice president and general manager of the CBS Internet Group.
