BSW lost its founder Monday.
Irving D. Law Jr., the CEO and founder of the broadcast equipment dealer, died at his home in Tacoma, Wash. He was 88.
The company called Law “our friend, mentor and leader” in the announcement and posted a memorial and biography written by BSW President Tim Schwieger on its Web site, www.bswusa.com/IrvLaw.asp.
Law’s biggest business accomplishment: “Not going out of business when, by all odds, he should have” after an unscrupulous supplier took money from Law and left the young business without cash.
