Levin Named to New Legal Position at Clear Channel

Calling it a key reorganization of its legal and government affairs departments, Clear Channel Communications has named Andrew W. Levin to the new position of executive vice president for law and government affairs, and the company’s chief legal officer.
President/COO Mark Mays made the announcement that the legal and government affairs operations will be brought together, saying, “It is increasingly important to address corporate and public policy issues hand in hand.”
Levin is former Democratic counsel to the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee. An attorney and CPA, he joined Clear Channel in late 2002 as senior VP for government affairs, based in Washington. He’ll relocate to San Antonio.
Reporting to Levin will be Ken Wyker, senior VP and general counsel; Dale Head, general counsel of the company’s live entertainment business; Mickey Gayler, associate general counsel for labor and employment matters, and the senior vice president for government affairs.
