Listen To AIR DRM Transmissions

Indian broadcaster sends digital signals to the world

All India Radio is continuing its transition toward digital. The broadcaster, which covers 92 percent of the Indian territory, is converting its transmitter sites for national coverage to DRM digital radio to reach nearly 70 percent of the population.

To hear what the AIR DRM transmissions sound like, listen to broadcasts from Bangalore to Japan and to New Zealand and from New Delhi to Europe.

AIR is in the process of awarding a tender for receivers, which should be announced shortly.
