Lowry Mays and his family will be honored as “giants of broadcasting” along with the likes of Jimmy Durante, Peter Jennings and Barbara Walters this fall.
Invitations are going out for the fourth Giants of Broadcast Awards event in September. It benefits the Library of American Broadcast Foundation.
This year’s inductees also include Frank Bennack Jr., Dorothy Bullitt, Eduardo Cabellero, Kate Smith and Bob Schieffer.
Charles Osgood will be emcee at the ceremony and luncheon at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York on Sept. 14.
