Former Belo Corp. executive Michael McCarthy has become a partner on the communications practice of Wiley Rein & Fielding. Upon his retirement from Belo in February, McCarthy was senior executive vice president. McCarthy is also a former executive committee member of the NAB and served as chairman of the association’s DTV task force. The move is effective Oct. 1.
