Publication in the Federal Register has triggered the comment due dates in the media ownership proceeding at the FCC.
The commission released a Notice of Inquiry May 25 seeking comment on whether its media ownership rules, including the local radio ownership limits and the Radio/Television Cross-Ownership Rule, continue to serve the public interest.
The ownership inquiry would be the fifth such review since passage of the 1996 Telecommunications Act.
Initial comments are due July 12 and replies on July 26 to MB Docket 09-182.
