More information is available about the upcoming 129th AES Convention in San Francisco, Nov. 4–7.
The Platinum panels are coming together. Those are sessions with recording stars and studio hotshots. Award-winning mastering engineer Bob Ludwig will moderate one on mastering. Ray Manzarek, keyboardist for The Doors, will join a panel with his engineer (who might be equally famous), Bruce Botnick. A producer/engineer panel will feature Joe Chiccarelli, Niko Bolas and Ross Hogarth.
More also is known about the “Stream Formats for Content Delivery Networks” session, Nov. 6 at 4 p.m. Joining CBS Radio’s Ray Archie will be Benny Fischer of streaming services provider Limelight Networks, Andy Jones of hardware and streaming service provider StreamGuys, Andrew Snook of streaming services provider StreamOn and Sam Sousa of streaming service provider StreamTheWorld.
Also, Kim Sacks has been added to the “Careers in Broadcasting” session on Nov. 6.
