Dates and locations have been announced for the 2025 AES Show.
Its flagship AES U.S. show will be held Oct. 23–25 in Long Beach, Calif. This marks the show’s first return to the west coast since 2016. It had been held in New York City since then, with the exception of 2020 and 2021, when it was virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The venue for the show will be the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center. In a release, AES said the show’s exhibit hall will be open Oct. 23–24, while its sessions and educational content will run throughout the show’s three days.
The 2024 AES Show was collocated with the NAB Show New York. We reported on the AES show heading west at its conclusion and the potential impacts.
AES International Dates
For the first time in 2025, the AES European Convention will be held in Warsaw, Poland, at ATM Studio. It will take place May 22–24. Last year, the society held the event in Madrid. It says 2025 will be its 158th such convention.
The AES Latin American Convention will be held in Mexico City Aug. 15–17. AES also announced it will hold the following events:
- The AES International Conference on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in San Diego, April 3–5.
- The AES International Conference on Headphone Technology in Espoo, Finland, Aug. 27–29.
- The AES International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Audio in London, Sept. 8–10.
“With every event, we are reminded how quickly the field is advancing, driven by new trends in every facet and subdiscipline of audio,” AES President Leslie Gaston-Bird said in the release.
The Audio Engineering Society hosted its first convention in 1949, marking the start of the AES Show. Formerly called the “Audio Fair,” the inaugural event was held at the Hotel New Yorker in NYC.
