Broadcast Electronics took an order for eight FM and one AM transmitters from Macquarie Southern Cross Media, a regional broadcaster in Australia. They’ll be used for regional stations in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.

The order was through Peter Warren of Lumina Broadcast Systems Australia Pty Ltd.

The order includes six STX LPs, a new low-power FM model scalable from 1 kW to 5 kW. Also ordered were two BE FM 5C solid-state FM transmitters with FXi 250 FM exciters and one BE AM 6A transmitter.

BE says the order adds to a large installed base of its transmitters in Australia, including about 20 used in the MSCM network.
