MSG to Oversee Communicom Auction

Major market stations involved

Media Services Group has been appointed by a bankruptcy court in Colorado to oversee the disposal of the radio broadcast assets of Communicom Corp. of America.

The stations involved are WDRJ(AM), Detroit, WLNO(AM), New Orleans, KXEG(AM) and KXXT(AM) in Phoenix. Bids must be received by May 30 and in the event of multiple bids and auction will be held. Contact Robert Maccini or Stephan C. Sloan at MSG’s Providence, R.I. offices for more information.

In other sales news, JVC Media has purchased the assets of WSVU(AM), Palm Beach, Fla., and translators W295BJ and W240CI from North Palm Beach Broadcasting. New owner JVC Media President and CEO John Caracciolo said, “West Palm Beach is a great radio market and we are proud to be able to grow our group here. We will be adding staff and growing the company and plan to continue our quest of making radio live, local and fun once again.”
