The Brinson Foundation awarded $100,000 to the Museum of Broadcast Communications to support an exhibit on the history of televised presidential debates.
The exhibit will be part of the MBC’s facility in downtown Chicago, scheduled to be completed next spring. The exhibit will feature one of the CBS cameras used in the Nixon-Kennedy debate at WBBM(TV) in 1960.
The museum on North State Street will include interactive exhibits, archives, working radio and television studios and a gift shop.
