Radio Hall of Fame Announces 2025 Nominees

Voting for inductees begins May 27

The Museum of Broadcast Communications has named the 2025 nominees for the Radio Hall of Fame. Every year, 24 nominees are chosen by the Radio Hall of Fame Nominating Committee with input from the radio industry and listeners. The Radio Hall of Fame honors notable radio personalities and showcases their accomplishments in the Chicago-based Museum of Broadcast Communications.

Voting for inductees begins Tuesday, May 27, and runs through Monday, June 16. At the end of the voting period, eight nominees will become hall of fame-ers. Six will be chosen by popular vote and two will be selected by the hall of fame’s nominating committee.

Nearly 1,000 industry members will receive a ballot on May 27 to cast votes for up to six nominated individuals. The confidential ballot will be conducted by Votem.com and overseen by Miller Kaplan’s Andrew Rosen, according to organizers. This will be the 37th Radio Hall of Fame class inducted.

The 2025 nominees are as follows:

  • Alice Cooper
  • Bert Weiss
  • Big D & Bubba

The total of eight Radio Hall of Fame inductees for 2025 will be announced on Monday, June 30, and will be honored during a ceremony on Oct. 30 at the Swissotel Hotel in Chicago.

“To receive this recognition for your on-air talents and audience connections is special, particularly given the number of suggestions received for nominations and the nominating committee’s extensive deliberations,” said Kraig T. Kitchin, Radio Hall of Fame co-chairman. “I look forward to seeing the industry voting results in late June.”

The Radio Hall of Fame was founded by the Emerson Radio Corporation in 1988. The Museum of Broadcast Communications took over operations in 1991.
