Susan Davenport Austin of Sheridan Broadcasting and Susan Patrick of Legend Communications are new to the NAB Radio Board.
Radio Board Chair Carl Gardner made the appointments with approval of Joint Board Chair Phil Lombardo and the Radio Executive Committee.
Austin is vice president of strategic planning and treasurer of Sheridan Broadcasting Corp. as well as president of the Sheridan Gospel Network. Founded by the Davenport family in 1972, Sheridan Broadcasting operates six radio stations in Pennsylvania, Alabama and New York.
She immediately assumes the seat recently vacated by Maria Elena Llansa, formerly with Spanish Broadcasting Systems.
Patrick will begin her term at the upcoming June board meeting and will assume one of the vacant designated radio board seats. Patrick is executive vice president and co-owner of Legend Communications in Ellicott City, Md., which operates 14 radio stations in Wyoming, Ohio and Missouri.
