Name Change: NexGen 101 Becomes PSI 101

Prophet Systems’ NexGen 101 system has been redubbed PSI 101.
Marketing Manager Diana Stokey said in the announcement that the product needed its own identity.
“NexGen and our new PSI 101 are really aimed at two entirely different markets. PSI 101 is perfect for small market stations, college stations or Internet stations.” The initials, she said, are meant to remind users that the software is “practical, simple and innovative.”
A core license starts at $495. Stations can select only those modules they need; modules typically cost $101 each. VoiceTRACing and CD Extractor are two of the most popular.
