New Chief On Tap For Wireless Bureau

FCC Wireless Telecommunications Bureau Chief Tom Sugrue will be leaving the commission this spring. FCC Chairman Michael Powell intends to name John Muleta as the new WTB Chief effective in early February.
Sugrue was chief of the Wireless Bureau for the past four years.
Muleta is currently the President and CEO of Source 1 Technologies LLC, a privately held systems integration firm based in Washington. Muleta previously served at the FCC from 1994-1998 where he held various positions in the Common Carrier Bureau and the Office of Plans and Policy. After leaving the FCC, Muleta worked at PSINet, Inc. from 1998-2000 where he held the position of President for PSINet Ventures Inc.
