Lowry Mays is the Broadcaster of the Year in the eyes of the New York State Broadcasters Association.
It will honor him in June at a banquet, part of its Executive Conference in Bolton Landing, N.Y.
"Since forming Clear Channel in 1972, Lowry has become a major force in today’s media and entertainment climate," said the NYSBA President Joseph Reilly, "He not only has established one of the largest cross-media broadcasting companies in the world, but also has taken an active role in helping to structure how broadcast stations across the nation are owned."
