Northwestern Radio Gives $620,000 to Attack Relief

Northwestern College Radio’s annual fundraiser will give $620,000 to the Salvation Army’s relief efforts in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania.
The three-day Sharathon of 13 network stations raised $6.2 million that will go towards operational expenses and special broadcast projects. Organizers decided to give 10 percent of the total to the relief efforts in the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorism attacks.
Northwestern Radio is a broadcast ministry of Northwestern College, a nondenominational Christian liberal arts college. It consists of 13 Christian radio stations in seven states, the SkyLight and Sky2 satellite networks and Internet Christian music station LifeNet.FM.
