Version 2.01 firmware for the NTI Minirator MR-PRO is designed to further simplify commissioning tasks in distributed loudspeaker systems. The upgrade adds significant new functions to the MR-PRO analog audio signal generator.
With version 2.01, the MR-PRO can measure the impedance and phase of the connected load and calculates the related power for 70 V or 100 V systems. Additionally, the software offers an enhanced cable test function and new test signals for amplifier and noise measurements.
For impedance and power tests, the technician simply needs to select the system reference voltage and connect the speaker line terminals. The MR-PRO then displays the nominal power and phase angle of the speaker line. It is possible to adjust the test level and frequency according to requirements.
The Minirator indicates whether the selected section of the system is wired correctly and detects incorrectly terminated or defective speakers. In cable tests, it detects all common XLR wiring faults and provides a precise description to the user, such as “2-3 crossed” or “Pin 2 open.”
It is possible to store individual user test signals as uncompressed WAV files in the MR-PRO memory.
As well as a new set of one-third octave narrow band pink noise signals, NTI offers a set of square-wave signals for the rapid diagnosis of amplifier behavior.
