NTI launched a new reference grade signal generator for digital audio, the Digirator DR2.
The battery-operated device provides common digital audio test signals, stereo and multichannel formats. Used in conjunction with the Digilyzer DL1, it constitutes a portable broadcast application measurement system.
Digital signals generated by the Digirator DR2 — at up to 24-bit resolution and all standard sampling frequencies up to 192 kHz — include sine, sweep, chirp or noise with adjustable levels and frequencies.
For multichannel audio applications, the DR2 offers surround sound signals in Dolby D, E, Pro-Logic and DTS formats. It is possible to store as WAV files in the internal memory and to loop further user test signals.
The DR2 can also monitor aspects such as channel transparency and system delays when dealing with digitally encoded signals.
