OmniMount has started an authorized Internet dealer program.
The company makes consumer and commercial A/V mounting and furniture products. It said it set up the program in partnership with NetEnforcers, which polices Internet dealer programs, to ensure the integrity of its Web sales program.
“The program comes on the heels of a recent Supreme Court ruling … which makes it easier for manufacturers to establish and enforce Minimum Resale Price levels among their dealers and distributors,” it stated.
“As a result of the ruling, OmniMount is in a position to better support its best dealers by enforcing its own standards regarding pricing, service and support.”
The supplier said it is “committed to the success and prosperity of its authorized distributors.” Proprietary technology will intelligently monitor and eliminate counterfeits and unauthorized dealers, it said. NetEnforcers will patrol the Internet looking for OmniMount products on unauthorized Web sites, and take legal action to protect OmniMount and its legitimate dealers from unethical and illegal Internet sales practices.
