Orban Sets Out Mobile Lab Schedule

Vehicle offers training, demonstrations

Orban’s Mobile Broadcast Laboratory will again set sail, or at least set rubber to the road, in 2014.

The company announced a schedule for its familiar vehicle, which offers testing and demonstrations of Orban products as well as training for broadcast engineers, technical service managers and station owners, at various stations, SBE meetings and trade shows.

Appearances this year will include the National Religious Broadcasters convention in Nashville, the NAB Show in Las Vegas, the Radio Show in Indianapolis and others. Market visits will include Washington, Chicago, Toronto, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Detroit and others.

Among new equipment on board are the Optimod 8685 Digital Surround Audio Processor, the Optimod-PC 1101 and the Optimod-FM 8600.

Founder and VP of Engineering Bob Orban also plans to conduct videoconferences and teleconferences with other engineering experts, the company promises.
