The company’s clients can purchase Axia IP-Audio networking components bundled with Paravel-supported products, including Rivendell, a radio automation system, and CallCommander, a call management system for talk radio.
Axia will provide its IP-Audio Driver software to Paravel Systems. The technology allows audio workstations running the Linux operating system to send audio to an Axia audio network from its network interface card, bypassing PC soundcards. Axia clients with Linux-based audio workstations can now interface directly with their Livewire networks.
Paravel’s Fred Gleason said the Linux environment is host to diverse professional-grade audio applications; the ability to plug those into an Axia Audio network will offer benefits in the ability to integrate systems in a radio studio, he said.
