Broadcast Electronics has announced the promotion of Joe Myers to director of software solutions.
The product manufacturer said it is a new leadership-based position within the company.
Previously, Myers was BE’s regional sales manager for the eastern U.S. and portions of the Caribbean. He’s held that position in two separate stints and BE said that he will still have a sales function in the new role.
“We’re taking advantage of Joe’s experience in software to ensure we are matching customers needs and growing our product family,” Rich Redmond, BE’s president and CEO, told Radio World. The company’s software offerings include AudioVault, “The Radio Experience TREplus” and its ongoing partnership with the NewsBoss newsroom automation system.
Myers is based out of Lexington, S.C., and has held senior sales roles with Harris Broadcast/GatesAir, ENCO and DJB. Before rejoining BE in 2023, Myers was most recently director of sales at the MaxxKonnect Group. He also has past experience in programming roles at radio stations.
