Radio World has announced the promotion of Elle Kehres to assistant editor.
“Elle joined us as a content producer in early 2022 and immediately made herself a key part of our editorial team,” said Editor in Chief Paul McLane.
“For many readers, she is the face of our daily e-newsletters. She is responsible for the Radio World SmartBrief and RW Engineering Extra Smart Brief, which means she must meet more than 280 daily deadlines a year; and she has embraced that role with integrity and enthusiasm.
“But she does more — she manages Radio World’s multiple social media platforms, writes and edits content that appears in our magazine issues, manages our digital analytics and contributes to special projects such as the annual Radio World Source Book & Directory and the NAB Show Daily.
“Our freelance contributors love working with her, and she has a flair for writing stories that capture the passion our readers share for this special industry of ours.”
Based in Atlanta, Ga., Kehres has a background spanning radio, television and print. She is the former assistant news director at WCHL(AM/FM), an award-winning radio station in Chapel Hill, N.C. Prior to that, Kehres was a digital media producer and assignment editor at WBTV in Charlotte, N.C. She received a degree in broadcast journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
