PR Signs With VT to Boost Shortwave Reach

VT will deliver analog, digital programming to listeners in Europe, Israel

Polskie Radio dla Zagranicy, the Polish international radio service, recently signed a four-year contract with VT Group to deliver 20 hours per day of analog and digital programming via the VT network of transmission sites.

VT will deliver the programming on shortwave to listeners in Europe and Israel, including programming in Polish, English, German, Hebrew, Russian, Belorussian and Ukrainian.

Programming will be originate in Warsaw and then be transmitted to the VT Media Management Centre in London for scheduling and distribution via fiber and satellite to various transmission sites in the VT Global Media Network.

The majority of transmission will air from the VT site at Woofferton in Shropshire, England, supported by other sites including Rampisham and Skelton in England and partner sites in Al Dhabiyya, United Arab Emirates, and Moosbrun, Austria.

Most of the programming will be analog, but 1.5 hours each day will emit using DRM digital shortwave.
