Beasley Launches Music Discovery on HD-2 Channels

Nutune Country can be heard in seven markets

Beasley is putting a country music discovery channel on HD-2 multicast channels in seven markets.

It’s called NuTune Country and is now heard on WXTU-HD2 Philadelphia, WKLB-HD2 Boston, KKLZ-HD2 Las Vegas, WQYK-HD2 Tampa, WSOC-HD2 Charlotte, WKXC-HD2 Augusta, Ga., and WKML-HD2 Fayetteville, N.C.

“In addition, shortly after the initial launch, Beasley stations will offer the new format on a stream and app,” it said.

The format is led by Vice President of Music & Entertainment John Reynolds.

“Country music specialists from across Beasley’s seven country format stations will curate a unique variety of content on a weekly basis that connects the audience to not only Nashville’s newest music but artists and country music from around the world,” the company said in the announcement, made by Beasley Chief Content Officer Justin Chase.

Listeners need an HD Radio receiver to hear these stations. Beasley said this format replaces various programming on those seven HD channels.
