We’ve been making note of the growing popularity of visual podcasts (as reported in the new ebook “Eye-Catching Audio,” produced in partnership by TVBEurope, TV Tech and Radio World).
Now iHeartMedia and Netflix plan to add more video shows to their partnership. They began that relationship in December by rolling out 15 shows that can be watched on Netflix.
Soon video versions of the following will be added:
“Suite 305 with Lele Pons” is hosted by “Latin multihyphenate and social media star” Lele Pons.
“The Martha Stewart Podcast” features “fascinating conversations between the culinary and culture icon and her extraordinary guests.”
“Sibling Revelry with Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson” is described as “an insightful, hilarious and often poignant show from a famous brother and sister duo going deep into all topics with other siblings.”
Netflix and iHeartMedia also recently launched “The Breakfast Club” as a live video show airing simultaneously each weekday. “While the radio broadcast continues to include traditional commercial breaks, Netflix viewers receive an enhanced, uninterrupted experience, with those breaks filled by exclusive bonus segments, behind the scenes moments, extended discussions and original content,” according to a release.
