Sout Al Khaleej, a Doha, Qatar-based radio station, has chosen L-S-B Broadcast Technologies GmbH’s VSM as part of its master control room to facilitate the routing of mono and stereo signals.
The project involved the integration of a Studer OnAir 3000 audio router in the MCR, which was controlled using the VSM. It brought together the signals from two studios, two DJ studios, an edit suite and a MCR.
Dubai’s INC System integrations carried out the on-site technical work.
The company also installed Studer OnAir 3000 mixing desks; previously, routers were not used. In each of the studios, DJ rooms and the MCR, there is one VSM LBP 32 desktop panel used to switch the signals. The buttons on the L-S-B panel are configurable, and new functions can be assigned at any time. The MCR also features a vsmPanel with a touch display to control sources and targets.
The desktop panels in the studios enable the staff to directly call sources. The VSM system has access to all DSP parameters of the Studer routing matrix. It also features automatic and time-controlled routing, which enables the user to pre-configure program sequences and set time-controlled crosspoints.
