Radio Agricultura Upgrades Facilities With AEQ

Chilean station equips new radio studios with Arena and Forum consoles

Radio Agricultura Studios

Chile-based Radio Agricultura chose to upgrade its new studios at its headquarters in Santiago de Chile with equipment from AEQ.

The two studios are designed around a 15-fader AEQ Arena and a 12-fader AEQ Forum mixing console, respectively. Both are interconnected using the Dante multichannel AoIP protocol.

Radio Agricultura has been broadcasting for 75 years and provides nationwide coverage. In 2001, it installed AEQ BC2000 audio mixing consoles as well as an AEQ Systel 3000 multi-conference system. Then in 2008, it upgraded to an AEQ Arena digital mixing console and AEQ Systel 6000 for the centralized management of all incoming and outgoing communications.

As part of the recent modernization of its facilities, the broadcaster’s original AEQ Arena console is now being employed in a third recording studio. Radio Agricultura is using a Dante network with AEQ Netbox interfaces as gateways between the reused analog/digital equipment and the new multichannel AoIP network.

In addition, the station’s AEQ Systel 6000 multi-conference system has been relocated to the new studios and integrated with the station’s new Systel-IP platform, allowing for the management of up to 12 simultaneous VoIP calls.

Radio Agricultura CEO Luis Langlois and Technical Manager, Marcos Reyes managed the project in collaboration with Luis Miguel Sánchez Migallón, AEQ sales area manager and AEQ technical staff.
