A dozen GatesAir’s Flexiva FAX air-cooled transmitters are on their way to Nepal, according to an announcement from the company. The transmitters were acquired by state-owned broadcaster Radio Nepal.
The Flexiva transmitters will be installed at the Radio Nepal, Singh Durbar, Kathmandu transmission site. They will offer power levels up to 2 kW for coverage across Nepal. The contract for these transmitters includes turnkey equipment, installation and commissioning services.
Radio Nepal is expected to go on-air with the transmitters some time in November.
