The Radio Wayne Silent Auction, created in memory of the RAB’s long-time EVP Wayne Cornils, says it has received a matching gift that nearly doubles the more than $35,000 it raised last year.
The charity event will be held each year at the RAB Conference. It benefits the institutions that Radio Wayne enjoyed most: fly fishing in Colorado and the Broadcasters’ Foundation Endowment Fund, whose mission is to assist broadcasters and their families who face acute personal financial needs.
For fly-fishing, the Roaring Fork Conservancy is a four-year-old non-profit organization dedicated solely to protecting and preserving the rivers and streams of the Roaring Fork Valley in western Colorado where Cornils loved to fish and relax.
