Radio.co Online Radio Platform Launches

Live streaming platform allows users to build online radio station and broadcast globally

Manchester, England entrepreneur James Mulvany, who launched his first successful start-up 10 years ago at the age of 18, has announced his new venture, Radio.co. The online platform launched six weeks ago and, according to the company, has already broadcast 22 million hours of content to 5.5 million listeners.

Radio.co is a live streaming platform that allows users to build an online radio station and broadcast it globally. Able to connect anywhere, DJs can automatically switch between live and automated broadcasting, explains the firm, adding that other businesses, like restaurant chains, gyms, churches, and event organizers, can use the system to create human-curated audio experiences.

Syndication partnerships with Apple and Tunein are already in place. Mulvany is targeting to have 1,000 stations broadcasting on Radio.co by Christmas.
