Regulatory Fee Window Opens Tuesday

The FCC opens the filing window for FY ’04 regulatory fees on Tuesday, Aug. 10. The window closes on Aug. 19.
The fees are due about a month earlier than in the past because the agency says the prior schedule sometimes has impeded its ability to collect all the money by the end of the fiscal year, Sept. 30.
To avoid paying a 25% late fee, money must be in by 11:59 p.m. on the 19th. The commission is trying to notify all licensees but may not get to everybody in time.
