The 5th edition of Recontres Radio 2.0 took place in Neuilly-sur-Seine, near Paris at the headquarters of the Société des Auteurs, Compositeurs et Editeurs de Musique headquarters on Oct. 13.
Organized by Nicolas Moulard and Xavier Filliol in partnership with Sacem and the Institut national de l’audiovisuel, the event, which covers topics related to “opportunities offered by the Internet to monetize radio content and advertisements,” played host to more than 60 speakers and some 350 attendees, say organizers.
This year, the conference focused on storytelling in the digital age: “Radio 2.0 and You. Tell Me a Story,” which explored the topic of storytelling and talk radio and its importance in both radio programming and commercial messages.
As in the previous years, Rencontres Radio 2.0 also organized the “Grand Prix Radio 2.0” awards. According to the organizers, more than 1,000 online votes helped determine this years winners, which included Cyril Hanouna of Europe 1 for the category of “Best Radio Host Connected 2.0”; Radio France International for “Best Mobile Application Radio 2.0”; and Citroën (Havas Media/Deezer) for “Best Radio Advertising Process 2.0.”
