Reports Circulate About CBS Radio Layoffs

As many as 200 people said to be let go

According to several reports, CBS Radio has laid off a number of staffers beginning Friday, with the majority of the casualties working in sales and support roles.

This is according to articles on trade media Radio Insight and All Access, which also reported that upwards of 200 people may have lost their jobs.

At least two jocks lost their jobs in St. Louis, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. A Philadelphia on-air personality has been laid off, NJ.com says, and the Radio Insight article also cited job losses in Seattle and New York.

Radio World requested confirmation or comment from CBS Radio and will report any response.
