Radio Frequency Systems (RFS) recently completed installation of a new antenna system atop the 1,100-foot West Pearl Tower in Chengdu, China.
The installation consolidates the services provided by smaller broadcast facilities located outside the city, and creates a DTV-ready structure.
RFS supplied, installed and commissioned an RF system including a complex array of antennas, feeders, switch frames and combiners.
The new West Pearl Tower facility supports six 10 kW FM radio services, and can be expanded to support 10 additional services.
RFS worked with engineers from the Sichuan TV Tower Chengxing Industry Co. Ltd. to design and implement the services.
