Rocket Network to Offer apt-X Option

Rocket Network Inc. will use apt-X digital audio compression in its RocketDelivery product for secure file delivery. The company announced a licensing agreement with Audio Processing Technology. RocketDelivery with the apt-X compression option will let users compress audio files with 16-bit, 4:1 audio compression/ decompression algorithm. Users will pay for the service on a per-use basis.
“APT is best known as a hardware solutions provider, but early in 2000 we began offering our algorithm in a software format for OEM resellers,” said APT Managing Director Noel McKenna. The option comes available in November.
