The contract to manage the installation of Belgian French-language public broadcaster RTBF’s DAB rollout has been awarded to Paneda and its local partner Heynen.
The contract consists of 16 multiplexers, 192 audio encoders, data handling and management systems as well as a support contact for 24/7 Paneda support.
According to Paneda, the system will be realized using VMware virtualization and each system will host eight multiplexers and 96 encoders. The VMware servers will be installed in different locations ensuring full redundancy.
In addition, the system will use “Smart Switching” of EDI outputs from Paneda.
