Santa Assaults Pittsburgh With Fireballs

More fun as CBS Radio starts the Christmas season early

In Pittsburgh, the Christmas season officially starts on Friday, Nov. 22.

At least that’s the plan of CBS Radio Pittsburgh and its Santa Spectacular show. Joining CBS Radio are its partners, Duquesne Light, Hyundai, Wyndham Grand Downtown Pittsburgh, Get and Go, 84 Lumber and others.

The festival takes at Pittsburgh’s waterfront Point State Park. According to a release there’ll be live entertainment, plenty of food and drink and Santa will be involved with fireworks and “fireballs.” CBS Radio Pittsburgh VP and Market Manager Michael Young helpfully stated that the “Santa Spectacular serves as Pittsburgh’s traditional start of the Christmas season.” A tradition dating back to 1998.
