The Society of Broadcast Engineers has signed an affiliation agreement with a new engineering group in Pakistan — the ninth such arrangement it has in place. SBE also is offering organizational advice to those radio and TV engineers.
SBE and BESPAK, the Broadcast Engineers Society of Pakistan, signed a memorandum of understanding.
“The arrangement provides for an exchange of information and technical papers between the two organizations as well as SBE Bookstore discounts for BESPAK members,” SBE stated.
SBE has affiliation agreements with broadcast engineering organizations in Mexico, India, South Korea, Brazil, Uruguay, the Philippines and two in Canada.
The chairman of BESPAK is Bilal Hasan, an engineer with GEO TV Networks. SBE’s president is Vinny Lopez.
