Schenek Joins Scripps as Digital Content Director in Milwaukee

He will build social media and internet presence and content for WTMJ and KTI

E.W. Scripps’ Milwaukee stations WTMJ(AM) and KTI(FM) have hired Dan Schenek as digital content director. The appointment is effective Jan. 16.

He will lead a team to grow, and the stations’ social media accounts. In addition, he will support the growing demand for video and podcast content.

“Dan is an experienced digital leader that will take us beyond typical coverage and lead us to places that expand the overall content experience — the way our consumers expect it today,” said Tom Langmyer, vice president and general manager for Scripps Radio in Milwaukee and vice president, news/talk/sports for E.W. Scripps.

Schenek most recently worked in Los Angeles as the digital producer for NBCUniversal’s “Access Hollywood” show. He has also worked with CNN/HLN’s “Dr. Drew” show and with MTV in New York and CBS Radio Los Angeles.

The E.W. Scripps Co. owns 34 radio stations in eight markets.
