Sirius Snags Wimbledon Satellite Radio Rights

Sirius is going for tennis that’s played on the grass courts – Wimbledon. The satcaster signed a four-year agreement with the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club to air play-by-play and other courtside updates of the Wimbledon Championships. Sirius also becomes the official satellite radio partner of Wimbledon with this deal. Matches and other Wimbledon content begins airing on Sirius June 20.
TWI, the broadcasting arm of sports marketing agency IMG, brokered the deal.
The Lawn Tennis Championships at Wimbledon was established in 1877.
