Sirius Travel Link Debuts in 2009 Lincoln MKS

Combined with a Ford navigation system, Sirius Travel Link will offer real-time traffic speed and flow data and accident and incident information.

Ford will offer Sirius’ new data service suite, Sirius Travel Link, in the 2009 Lincoln MKS, a luxury sedan from Lincoln.

Combined with a Ford navigation system, Sirius Travel Link will offer real-time traffic speed and flow data and accident and incident information. The feature also displays weather conditions, fuel prices, sports scores and schedules and movie theater information.

Data content provided by Sirius Travel Link is broadcast through Sirius’ satellite and repeater infrastructure. The data is accessed and managed in the car using a new high-mounted, 8-inch touch-screen menu.

A six-month subscription to Sirius Travel Link combined with the satellite radio audio service will be included in any Ford, Lincoln and Mercury car equipped with Ford’s next-generation navigation system in 2008.

When launched in summer, the 2009 Lincoln MKS will offer Sirius Travel Link services integrated into a voice-activated navigation system.
