XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio have extended their proposed merger for the second time.
The companies have agreed not to exercise their rights to terminate the deal prior to May 15. They’ve also agreed to further extend the merger agreement, as necessary, for rolling two-week periods unless either side notifies the other of its intention not to extend.
While the sat rad companies await a decision from the FCC on their proposed merger, they’ve also postponed their respective shareholder meetings, which were slated for May, until they have new information to share.
